Southern West Virginia Community and Technical
College's Small Business Development Center (SBDC), one of 14 centers
statewide, is a member of the
West Virginia Small Business Development
Center Program, made possible through a cooperative venture among
Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, the
West Virginia Development
Office and the
U. S. Small
Business Administration.1
The SBDC promotes economic development in a five-county region in the
southern West Virginia coalfields through a through a program of practical,
inter-related services, providing free assistance to existing small
businesses and the emerging entrepreneur. The aim of the SBDC is
to increase entrepreneurial success by focusing business efforts on
planning, market development, and appropriate financing.
This assistance includes a variety of services

Southern's SBDC consists of two offices, strategically placed at the following locations.
