Southern's Student Activities Program augments the
student's academic life with meaningful educational, cultural, and
social activities. These include publications, dramatic
presentations, departmental clubs, and various social activities such as
dances, entertainment, and tournaments. Activities must be
approved by the Student Government Association. The program is
open to all Southern students.*
Student leaders may develop clubs and organizations during the school
year, and their activities will have a college employee as advisor or
sponsor.
Dianna Toler, Student Support Specialist on the Logan Campus of
Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, developed a
monthly calendar of events and timelines beneficial for Southern's

All persons registered
in one or more academic courses at Southern are considered students.
A portion of each student's fees supports institutional activities.
