The
Student Support Services program provides educational enrichment through
many different activities and trips. The activities sponsored by Student Support Services
are designed to promote self-confidence, educational experience, cultural
diversity, and personal growth by encouraging socialization and
cooperation among the participants. Some of these activities
include:

college and university campus visits

field trips
-
hospitality room during finals week

recognition banquet
-
student leadership conference

workshops
Trips sponsored by the Student Support Services
program are
designed to increase the personal experience and comfort of participants
outside their normal environment. The program provides participating
students with the opportunity to travel to various places (all expenses
paid) such as:

see a Broadway show such as Phantom of the
Opera, take in a ballgame at Yankee Stadium, experience Chinatown,
tour the Empire State Building, visit Ellis Island, the site of
the World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty, NBC Studios,
Rockefeller Center, and St. Patrick's Cathedral
