Student Services is interested in

students of Southern have a pleasant
and rewarding educational experience. We will make every effort to
provide the information, guidance, and services that you, the student,
need to make informed decisions about your education, your college
career, and attaining your goals. Some of the services that are
provided are:
Admissions
and Records
The Admission and Records Office is responsible for
maintaining and updating all student records, inputting of grades,
verifying residency status and academic standing, providing transcripts,
answering Veterans Benefits inquiries, etc. In addition, Admission
and Records handles the admission process. For more information,

Career
Services
A variety of services is available
free-of-charge to
help the student select, apply for, and become employed in the career of
his/her choice. For more information about career services, please
contact Pete Parsons at 304.369.2952 x. 14.
Counseling
Counselors are available to assist students free-of-charge who need
help in dealing with educational planning, career decision-making, and
personal difficulties.
Financial
Assistance
Financial Aid consists of
scholarships, grants, loans, and employment opportunities to help
students finance a postsecondary education. Students may apply for
these various types of financial aid by contacting 304.792.7098 x. 256

(Logan/Boone Campus) and 304.235.6046 x. 221 or 210
(Williamson/Wyoming/McDowell Campus).
On-Line Orientation
Southern's On-Line Orientation summarizes the important services
and resources that are available to help you to become a successful Southern student
and graduate.
On-Line Registration
Southern is committed to providing access
to all necessary services for students. One of those services is
On-Line Registration. On-Line Registration is the quick and easy
way to register for admitted Southern students.
Special
Services
Southern makes available a number of
services beneficial to students and the economic development of the
region it serves. Every effort will be made to provide the
information, guidance, that you, the student, need to make informed
decisions about your education, career, and attaining your goals.
Student
Government and Activities
Southern encourages an active Student Government
Association (SGA) on all campuses. The SGA makes recommendations
to the College concerning needs and concerns of students and sponsors various
activities such as dances, entertainment, and tournaments.
