Library Databases

The libraries at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College offer a variety of databases which allow students and community patrons to search for reference materials.

• College Source Online - a database of college catalogs

• Southern's On-line Library Catalog

• West Virginia Statewide On-line Catalog - the West Virginia Library Commission database of library holdings in the state

• Literature Resource Center - an on-line database of literary resources including full-text articles and indexes.  This database is only available on college networked computers.

• Infotrac - a database (formerly known as SearchBank) of various magazine articles.  This database is only available on college networked computers.

• SMARTHINKING - an on-line tutoring service.  SMARTHINKING increases student achievement and enhances learning by connecting students to qualified educators anytime, from any internet connection.  Contact Transitional Studies at 304.792.7098 x. 298 for more information.

• Issue and Controversies - a database containing "in-depth investigations of today's top issues."
