Foundation/Alumni


The mission of the Southern West Virginia Community College Foundation, Inc. is to collect and disburse funds to be used as scholarships, loans, grants, and funds for worthwhile projects. Organized in 1971, the tax-exempt organization is a combined effort of civic and business leaders throughout Southern’s service area.

Its goals include:

  • Advancement of available technology
  • Acquisition of library resources
  • Campus beautification
  • Cultural enrichment
  • Development of staff
  • Improvement of curriculum
  • Scholarships for worthy students
