Student Services
Southern students can access more than 160 computers in twelve computer
labs. Each individual receives a student computer account, allowing
him/her to log onto the systems software, and providing full Internet
access and an e-mail account. Guest accounts are available which offer
access to most software, although they do not provide Internet access or
e-mail. Laser printers are located in each lab.
Computer science and business labs are available during open lab hours.
Student labs are open to students only during school hours; library labs
are open to students and the public during normal library hours.
Southern's Internet Service
Anyone in
the government, educational or medical field or belonging to a
non-profit organization in the Southern service area can get Internet
access, an e-mail account and help desk support. This user-friendly
service costs just $12.95 per month, and permits unlimited usage.
Help desk support is available 10:30 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. Monday through
