Survey Technician



This program is designed to meet the needs of the surveying profession in Southern West Virginia and the surrounding areas. It will provided a thorough knowledge of surveying and mapping techniques necessary for certification and employment.

Program Requirements: This program is still under development. An addendum with the full curriculum will be available at the beginning of the Fall 2007 semester.

Anticipated Component I - General Education Curriculum

EN 101 English Composition I - 3 semester hours
EN 102 English Composition II - 3 semester hours
OR
BU 205 Communications in Business** - 3 semester hours
MT 130 College Algebra - 3 semester hours
OR 105 Orientation to Technical Program - 1 semester hour
PH 210 College Physics I - 4 semester hours
PH 212 College Physics I I - 4 semester hours
PY 201 General Psychology - 3 semester hours


Interested students should register for SU 100 and SU 275 along with any of the general education courses listed above for the Fall 2007 semester. Any necessary transitional courses must be registered for during the Fall 2007 semester. This program will be located on the Logan campus.
