The Computer Information Systems Program is primarily designed as
non-transfer for career oriented students who desire to enter the job
market after completion of the program. It is designed to develop
knowledge and skills that will enable the student to seek entry level
employment and perform efficiently in the IT industry workforce. The
program also offers opportunities for individuals already in the job
market to expand their skills and knowledge to include computers.
Students will develop those attitudes, understandings, and traits that
will allow them to accept responsible positions and will create within
them an appreciation for the impact of computerization upon every facet
of the business world.
Knowledge
and skills gained through this program typically prepare for, or upgrade
